Build a strong foundation in the art of acting! This class introduces the essential techniques actors use to create believable and compelling performances. Students will explore how to develop unique characters, analyze scripts, understand relationships between characters, communicate through voice and movement, make strong acting choices, and perform short scenes. Additional topics may include stage presence, emotional truth, objectives, active listening, concentration, imagination, and basic stage terminology.

Students will work individually and with scene partners to develop trust, communication, and collaboration while practicing rehearsal techniques and performance skills in a supportive environment.

Recommended Requirements: Because acting is collaborative, partnership and active participation are required. Students should come prepared to rehearse, support their classmates, and fully engage in all class activities.

This in-person class takes place on Tuesday evenings, November 10-December 15, 2026, from 6:30 pm-8 pm. Participants must register for the entire course; no drop-ins.
