Intermediate Acting, 6-week Class
This multi-week class builds upon foundational acting skills, focusing on in-depth exploration of techniques, character development, and performance styles; often including scene work, improvisation, and analysis of dramatic texts.

Take your acting to the next level by exploring the craft through scripted scenes. This course focuses on developing truthful, layered performances through in-depth character analysis and rehearsal. Students will study character objectives, tactics, obstacles, beats, subtext, relationships, emotional preparation, given circumstances, and script analysis while refining their vocal and physical performance choices.
Students will rehearse and perform scenes throughout the course, receiving individualized coaching and constructive feedback designed to strengthen performance technique and artistic growth.
Recommended Requirements: Participants should have a basic understanding of acting techniques and principles that this course is designed to refine and expand on. Active participation each week is required. Students will need to rehearse independently and/or with scene partners outside of class. Consistent preparation, memorization, collaboration, and professionalism are essential for success in this class.
This in-person class takes place on Tuesday evenings, February 23-March 20, 2027, from 6:30pm-8pm. Registration will open in mid-November. Participants must register for the entire course; no drop-ins.
