SUMMARY:Visiting Resident Artist Exhibition - Alexis Janay\, The Light We Carry
DESCRIPTION:* This exhibition runs Jun. 27–Aug. 2\, with a public reception on Sat.\, Jul. 11. * \n\n\n\nThe Light We Carry is a portrait series celebrating those who shine authentically. Through vibrant color\, layered patterns\, and textured surfaces\, these works invite viewers to witness presence\, resilience\, and the joy of living as one’s true self. This exhibition offers a moment to slow down – to sit with each figure and feel the depth of their presence\, as each portrait holds a radiance beyond the individual\, suggesting a shared energy connecting us across experience and time. \n\n\n\nThe title reflects a commitment to carry that light forward – to honor it\, recognize it in others\, and allow it to grow. Individual brightness becomes collective: a source of connection\, belonging\, and possibility – an enduring light we hold and pass on.
