Announces Summer Fun for Prince George’s County Youth
RIVERDALE, MD – The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce a new and amazing array of fun summer activities for Prince George’s County youth. Activities will include virtual Summer Clubhouses, reopening of outdoor pools, and summer programming that will feature reduced and exciting summer playtime activities.
“We know our young people are ready to enjoy the summer and we are excited to offer a variety of options to keep them active,” said M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation Director, Bill Tyler. “We look forward to welcoming our residents back to a safe and enjoyable environment.”
Registration for Summer Clubhouses begins Monday, June 15, 2020, at 9 a.m. Parents and guardians can view the guide at pgparks.com/Virtual Summer Clubhouses and review all of the options.
Outdoor pools are scheduled to reopen on July 1, 2020. The Department will share more details, in the coming weeks, regarding operating procedures and what patrons can expect when visiting our pools.
The Department is also working on summer playtime outdoor activities for youth ages 6 to 12. These programs will be announced later.
