Good Neighbor Day Sustainability Workshop, ages 13+ (must be comfortable walking at a leisurely pace for the duration of the event) 

In partnership with the University of Maryland, the City of College Park, and the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, CPAM is hosting a walking tour from the museum to Lake Artemisia. Guests will learn about how nature has been inspiring aviation innovation for decades while walking by the airfield, how studying nature can help create more sustainable commercial air travel, and how we can work together on citizen science projects to support natural life in our community. At the lake, we will be joined by members of Prince George’s Audubon Society for birdwatching and information on how we can support and improve the habitat.
