Groups or individuals can adopt a trail in Prince George’s County; these include the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail, Anacostia Stream Valley Trail, Washington Baltimore & Annapolis Trail, or the Henson Creek Trail systems. Responsibilities include periodic monitoring and removal of trash and debris, reporting trail needs, and other environmental projects as the need arises.
This opportunity requires a two-year commitment; training and materials are provided by the Park Rangers. Although volunteer assignment schedules vary, this opportunity is ideal for anyone in the community who enjoys trails. Groups or individuals who adopt a trail section are recognized with signage at the appropriate trail section.
