Dine, Learn and Move

Dine, Learn & Move is a FREE 11-month program presented by a partnership between M-NCPPC Department of Parks and Recreation Prince George's County, Prince George's County Health Department, Suburban Hospital and UM Capital Region Health. The program aims to promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle, which can reduce the presence of chronic disease amongst county residents.

Program Overview
Dine, Learn & Move sessions are two hours that consist of three major segments. During the first segment, participants are encouraged to get up and move through an instructor-led exercise routine. Next, participants learn about healthy eating from a Registered Dietician. Lastly, the program wraps up with a step-by-step healthy cooking demonstration led by a chef that includes a FREE sample and take home recipe.

Dine, Learn & Move aims to promote healthy lifestyle habits by exposing county residents to physical activity, health, and nutrition education. Participants have the opportunity to reduce their ailments of chronic diseases as they:

  • Learn healthy cooking practices from a chef
